New Born Puppy Food

During the first few weeks of dog life, a puppy’s primary activities are feeding, keeping warm and developing social skills. In most cases, humans will simply watch the mother dog provide all necessary care for her puppies. However, if the puppy is in your care and has been separated from his / her mother, or if the mother dog has rejected her young puppies or cannot produce enough milk to feed, caring for the pup is up to you.

Note : Better feed pup with mother milks for 30 to 45 day, which helps pups mental health and immunity. Their mother's milk to provide them with antibodies as a protection against disease.

WHEN DOES THE PUPPY START TO EAT FROM A BOWL?

As soon as the puppy's eyes have opened at 15-17 days, it is worthwhile encouraging the weaning process. First place the milk formulae in a flat dish, then either dip the puppy's nose into it or smear some around its mouth with your finger or use milk feeding bottle to feed your pup. By 3 weeks the puppy can start to eat food from the dish along with the milk. As the consumption of food increases, the amount of milk can be gradually decreased.

By 4 to 5 weeks, the orphaned puppy should be able to consume enough moistened solid food to meet its needs.

Note : Make sure to clean around mouth & nose after feeding pup in a bowl, since it may block puppies nose with food.
